Annnnnnnd they're OFF!

Off to Scotland, that is! Well, not if I don't get my stuff together...gotta do some laundry and do some packing. We'll have access to laundry facilities, so we don't have to take *everything* but let's face it, we want to be prepared.

We'll be flying in to Edinburgh. I'm hoping the skies will be clear because I love that city and want to see it from the air. We're staying at a B&B called Wester Cowden, in Dalkeith, just outside of Edinburgh, for a few days at the beginning and end of our trip. We stayed there a few times last year and loved it. Huge rooms, a view of Arthur's Seat, lovely modern bathroom and yummy full Scottish breakfasts.

Our plans also include going to Port Patrick. Beautiful place. Aunt Thea and Uncle Tom have a wonderful cottage there, not too far from the sea and the town. Their home is exactly like what you'd imagine a Scottish cottage would be. Lush garden, lots of surrounding farmland, gently rolling hills, and some sounds of the sea. I'll post pictures when we return.

Well, better get packing. There are still a few errands to run, but in less than 24 hours we'll be heading to the airport!
